Paper Graft 22, Orange Spit
The idea of a spitting, flinging allowing paint to adjust with gravities pull allows a connection between the finished art and the process of making it. Eluding to spaces adjusted by the sea as the tides sweeps and moves sand. An ephemeral act, constantly changing. My work evokes the idea of movement and variation.

PAPER GRAFT, Pinked
Repetition and variation . Color cords creating an environment of interaction. Swing and dodge. Intentional and unrestricted mass with brush or taped and formal are alive and moving as you look.

PAPER GRAFT, Blue Loose
SOLD Laying down organic, immediate paint allows me to jump into the process of choosing color variants. Controlled by experience and the opportunity for a new experience guides my brush. More formal ideas are after the first rush and are much slower and deliberate.

Paper Graft 22, Two Green
Lots of color play in this work. The green bars are actually the same color of mixed paint but appear to be lighter over the red and darker over the raw white paper. A teal in plain sight but under a bit of tension because of the proximity of the card red below and green above. Think Sistine Chapel with Adam almost touching God. A hidden teal rest at the bottom over the light blue .

PAPER GRAFT, SHUSH BLUE
Often colors have to be quieted with a glaze over , another light layer of thinned paint ... In this case I used a yellow glaze to “shush” the blue. The glazing of one of the blue stripes and not the other does 2 things: it makes the not glazed blue line stronger because it is isolated . The non glazed blue line also becomes less connected with the other yellows.
